Maryland Rookie Driver

New drivers must complete a Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration approved Driver's Education Course. The Course consist of a minimum of thirty (30) hours of classroom instruction and six (6) hours behind the wheel instruction training. Successful completion of an  approved driver education course is one of the requirements for obtaining a Maryland driver's license. 
We offer convenient class times throughout the school year and summer. 

Mr.   George's Driving School is a Certified Driving Education School. All of our
instructors are certified and knowledgeable about the curriculum and about
traffic safety issues. We teach you the entire Driver Education Program of 30
hours of classroom instruction in an informative, interesting, and challenging
manner. We offer a state-of-the-art, clean, secure, and fully-equipped classroom
that meets the local fire and building codes, as well as the MVA
requirements

No delay for in car training

You can enroll for the course at age 15. You don't need the course to apply for the learner's permit.
If you have not applied for the learner's permit  you will be able to complete the classroom portion of the course and prepare for passing the Learner's Permit test.

2. Obtain your Learner's permit

Must be 15 years and 9 months. Present completed form (DL-300).  If under 18 your legal guardian needs to co-sign the application. Must pass a vision screening and pass the learner’s permit test. A sample test tutorial is available at Maryland MVA site

Extra practice for the Driving skills test? 

Have successfully completed the Driver’s education Program. Must hold a permit for 9 months and conviction free. Complete your Practice Skills Log with a qualified supervising driver. Must pass driving skills test.
